The perfect convergence of time, place, and people led to the birth of the CannaCruiting concept in late 2018. Founders Shawn and Bruce found themselves standing at a point in Canadian history where the newly legalized cannabis industry needed high-end professional Talent Search and HR Services for an exponentially growing industry.


Both founders were fortunately positioned to build and deliver this support to the industry, based on their years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Search, and Executive Level Management revolving around the cannabis industry. This expertise, along with personal networks and connections to thousands of cannabis industry professionals, has made CannaCruiting the Source for Canadian Cannabis Talent!

How do we do it?

CannaCruiting approaches every job search as a Mission. We customize our tactics and approach based on each client’s needs. Starting with preliminary meetings to fully determine the skills, qualifications, and other criteria desired, we then create a job description and job postings to communicate and target the optimum applicant pool. We maximize the number of quality applicants through a three-pronged strategy: job advertising on top national and local job sites, targeted search based on our premium online search technology, and drawing on CannaCruiting’s network of thousands of cannabis industry professionals.


This three-pronged strategy ensures the maximum pool of qualified applicants for every cannabis-related job. Once applicants have been generated, we analyze each application and distill the hundreds of applicants into a short-list, generally through a process of three to four rounds of screening and interviewing. We are then able to present our client with a short-list of 3-6 candidates for final interviews and testing stages, fully supported by CannaCruiting. The final result of this intensive search process is optimal talent for each and every client.
